March 10 - March 31, 2013

March 10, 2013:  Brendon & I attended Naomi's Young Women in Excellence.

March 11, 2013:  I completed the Easter dishcloth.

March 13, 2013:  I worked on cleaning out my bedroom closet and going through all the boxes that had not been opened since we moved into our current home 6 years ago.

March 14, 2013:  I finished knitting the left fingerless mitt for Naomi.

March 15, 2013:  Gabrielle and Gavin both learned how to ride their bikes!

March 17, 2013:  I didn't take a photograph, but it was our 18th Wedding Anniversary.  We went to Idaho Falls to hang out and eat dinner at Johnny Carinos.

March 18, 2013:  I caught Lizzy and Chaos cuddled up together really cute.  As soon as I got out the camera, Chaos decided he was done, because he's a cat.

March 19, 2013:  We sewed up some neck coolers for use on the Pioneer trek this summer.

March 25, 2013:  I finished Naomi's fingerless mitts.  I am very happy with how they turned out, and Naomi loves them.

March 26, 2013:  I totally cleaned out and organized my cold storage room.

March 29, 2013:  We colored Easter Eggs with Justin & Sara's family.

March 30, 2013  The Easter bunny visited us, and then we had an Easter Egg hunt with Justin, Wendi, and Candice's families.  We spent the day with them.

March 31, 2013.  Easter Sunday we attended church and ate leftovers.  This is a photo of my lovely Easter Bouquet.

February 28 - March 9

Thursday, February 28, Gabrielle & Naomi went to stay with their Grandma Kay for a couple of days.  Brendon was on his way back from Idaho Falls at the same time I was heading to Blackfoot to drop off the girls.  We met in Blackfoot and Brendon & I went out to lunch at Rupes.  Also, I worked really hard and finished knitting Gabrielle's sweater.

Friday, March 1, Benjamin had an overnighter at a yurt.  Because the girls were staying at their Grandmother's house, Gavin was the only child at home.  Brendon and I took him with us out to dinner and for frozen yogurt.

Saturday, March 2, I worked on knitting.  The orange and brown fish hat is for Justin.  The entrelac head wrap is for Sara

Sunday, March 3, Brendon played Heroscape with the kids.

Monday, March 4, I started knitting a Valentines dish cloth.

Tuesday, March 5, Gabrielle tried on her new sweater.  The sleeves fit a bit snug, so I will be surprised if she actually wears it.

Wednesday, March 6, I did a lot of cleaning.  I also potted up some new african violets to replace the ones that died while we were in Disneyland.  The violets are a little tough to see in the picture, but Mayhem is there posing in his favorite window.

Thursday, March 7, I don't have a picture, but I had my hair done in the morning and in the evening I sang in a group for the Relief Society birthday dinner.  I also did some cleaning and read a book.

Friday, March 8, I baked Shamrock Farm House Cookies, and Gavin had Sara over to play.  Gabrielle played with Nicole and Naomi went to Levi's.  The high school had an early release due to a debate tournament and Benjamin went out to lunch with his friends.  That evening, just before Brendon and I were supposed to go on a date, I stumbled and fell down some steps and hurt my ankle.  So, Brendon cooked breakfast foods for dinner and I went to bed early.

Saturday, March 9, Brendon and I went to lunch at Texas Roadhouse to make up for not having a date on Friday.  I finished up the Valentine's dishcloth and started an Easter one.  Also, the cats got into some of my new yarn.

Countdown to 40

I have been dreading turning 40.  I just know that it will be a hard birthday for me. In fact, I am planning on spending the day in my pajamas with a book and my buddies Ben & Jerry.  I may or may not be crying much of the day.  To help me transition into turning 40, I have decided to do a 365 daily photo project for myself and a little journaling each week.  This will be my first entry.

February 21:  This is me.  It is a little challenging to take a good picture of yourself, but for this purpose, this one will do.

This is Gabbi.  She and I share the same birthday and she turned 10 this day.  Isn't she darling.

February 22:  This is the car that wouldn't start this morning, so I had to drive Benjamin to early morning.  We jump started it later in the afternoon, and did get it going, so no worries.

February 23:  For one of my birthday presents, I received a new rug.  I really like it.

February 24:  I forgot to take a picture, but I made a pot of chicken noodle soup, a pan of corn bread, a zucchini chocolate cake, and invited dad over for dinner.

February 25:  Benjamin and Naomi had a potato bar and silent auction fundraiser for band that our family attended.  We came home with a basket of summer outdoor toys (bubbles, sidewalk chalk, frisbee, etc.) that we won at the auction, because Gavin became very distressed each time someone outbid us and begged Brendon to go a little higher.

February 26:  No early morning, so I made french toast for the family.  Benjamin and Naomi had final exams for the trimester this day and I wanted to make sure they had a great breakfast to start the day.

February 27:  I had made a pan of Fudge Nut Bars on Monday for the potato bar, but I sent them all, and we didn't get to have any.  So this day, I made another pan (without nuts so Brendon calls them Fudge Eunuch Bars) for our family.  Benjamin and Naomi both had friends over and we ordered some pizza for dinner.
