Countdown to 40

I have been dreading turning 40.  I just know that it will be a hard birthday for me. In fact, I am planning on spending the day in my pajamas with a book and my buddies Ben & Jerry.  I may or may not be crying much of the day.  To help me transition into turning 40, I have decided to do a 365 daily photo project for myself and a little journaling each week.  This will be my first entry.

February 21:  This is me.  It is a little challenging to take a good picture of yourself, but for this purpose, this one will do.

This is Gabbi.  She and I share the same birthday and she turned 10 this day.  Isn't she darling.

February 22:  This is the car that wouldn't start this morning, so I had to drive Benjamin to early morning.  We jump started it later in the afternoon, and did get it going, so no worries.

February 23:  For one of my birthday presents, I received a new rug.  I really like it.

February 24:  I forgot to take a picture, but I made a pot of chicken noodle soup, a pan of corn bread, a zucchini chocolate cake, and invited dad over for dinner.

February 25:  Benjamin and Naomi had a potato bar and silent auction fundraiser for band that our family attended.  We came home with a basket of summer outdoor toys (bubbles, sidewalk chalk, frisbee, etc.) that we won at the auction, because Gavin became very distressed each time someone outbid us and begged Brendon to go a little higher.

February 26:  No early morning, so I made french toast for the family.  Benjamin and Naomi had final exams for the trimester this day and I wanted to make sure they had a great breakfast to start the day.

February 27:  I had made a pan of Fudge Nut Bars on Monday for the potato bar, but I sent them all, and we didn't get to have any.  So this day, I made another pan (without nuts so Brendon calls them Fudge Eunuch Bars) for our family.  Benjamin and Naomi both had friends over and we ordered some pizza for dinner.
